CALIENT Technologies Announces New Vice President of Engineering

Jitender K. Miglani brings more than 16 years of product development and engineering experience to leading adaptive photonic switching company
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April XX, 2012 — CALIENT Technologies, Inc., the global leader in photonic switching technology, today announced the promotion of Jitender K. Miglani to vice president of engineering, reporting to Gregory Koss, chief development officer at CALIENT Technologies.
In his new role, Miglani is now responsible for all new product development activities, as well as providing technical direction, guidance and support throughout the stages of product implementation.
Miglani joined CALIENT Technologies in 2010 as director of software engineering and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of software-related projects for the company’s full range of photonic switches. Before CALIENT, he worked at Juniper Networks as a solutions engineer for data center intra and interconnectivity solutions. Prior to Juniper, Miglani was director of engineering at 3Com, where he headed up engineering and operations at 3Com’s India Development Center, working on development of multiple product lines. Before joining 3Com, he held software engineering positions at Lucent Technologies, Bay Networks/Nortel and Essar Telecom. Miglani holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Regional Engineering College in Kurukshetra, India.
